Well, still unpacking from Los Angeles. I brought back over 100 purses with more on the way...I got some great colours - purples and metallics as well as great textures. Patents are really making their mark this year so get yours soon.

I'm getting ready for my open house --- fellow VIPP's - let me know if you didn't get your invite!

Thank you to Mount Hope's Teresa Townsend - we had a great turnout and raised $200 for Camp Woodeden - Looking forward to the next one there.

Where has the summer gone? I'm now in full swing for the fall season. Welcome to 2 new Canadian Suppliers - watch for midsize very textured bags (yes they all have outside pockets) (bling, bling - but not too, too much) in great textures for the 35-50 year olds and a new "hippy: line for teens and university students.

My Los Angeles trip is scheduled for September 13th, but I've already ordered some in advance for customers - Rina Rich, Tosca - the best-selling 640/641 line is now coming in great new colours - purple, metallic brown as well as black, red, and brown.

Giraffe, leopard and even cow prints have been showing in major US cities now starting to sell in London, Ontario! I already have them but am getting more.

Sorry about not updating the site lately...I'm in summer vacation mode too, so even though I've been lazy with the site, I haven't been lazy with purchasing new Fall merchandise. It's coming in over the next few weeks. By the way, if you want an Autumn (or pre-xmas party, call soon. I am now booking into late October!!!

I've had some inquiries about "named" knockoffs --- I'm not selling them for the following reasons:

1) they are illegal and I really don't want to deal with that;
2) they are overpriced - my price escalates with that $1.50 prada triangle and then they
3) fall apart - again, not something I want to deal with.
4) not the least important but - they didn't sell well in London - only a few of you really wanted to pay for the "name"

PS. If you want to buy one -- I'd be pleased to tell you where they can be found in NY and Los Angeles. Be careful about who you buy from - you probably won't be able to take it back!

Updates....I have shopping trip scheduled to the Accessories show in August, Los Angeles in September -- watch for the new stuff.

I went to visit some suppliers last week. Here's my take on whats in for fall: PURPLE, more skins (textures like croc, leopard, gator), patent, mixed colours.

I'm seeing mid-size purses come back in with pockets/zippers. Maybe we're finally getting stylish with practicality! what's out: big, sacky purses, studs, frame bags.

I'm bringing in a new line of recycled purses -- but still nice-looking and a high end Canadian line. Watch for more.

My Women for Women campaign is going great! We've donated over $800 to local Canadian charities since we started. Many of my hostesses have chosen to direct their part to Merrymount London. Watch for Shari's Unique Boutique at their upcoming charity event.

Well, summer is finally here...a much needed break. I'm still busy with parties but definitely slowing down for the summer season. I am stocking up for the fall and there's amazing purses on the horizon. Watch this blog for a Fall Fashion preview. For my V.I.P.P's, you'll be receiving a special email in the next few weeks about a new exciting offering. If any of you still want some great "named" sunglasses, give me a call. I just got another shipment in from my personal LA shopper - Abby.

Abby did a great job picking out purses, jewellery and especially the sunglasses in downtown Los Angeles. My V.I.P.P's (Very Important Purse People) had a great time with all the new merchandise at my Open House. It was a blast...thank you to everyone. If you missed the event but still want to come pick a purse, just contact Shari to arrange a time. I love doing this!!!

Thank you to everybody who's been buying, and buying. I was worried I had ordered too much but I think I have just enough.

People have been asking me about how often my website is updated. I try to change it once a week, but sometimes there's not enough time. The website is a sampling of my products, just to have a presence on the web for my London customers. I'm not selling from it nor do I want all my products on it --- I wouldn't have time for anything else!

Send me your ideas and I'll try to put them in place! One customer asked me to date the statuses so I did that this week.

I have another shipment of sunglasses coming in from Los Angeles this week, courtesy of my personal shopper - Abby (my mother) who found the best place downtown to get them. Should be in by my Open House!

I started the Women for Women campaign a few months ago and I'm pleased to tell you that we've donated over $600 to local charities helping women/children just from purse sales. It's a great feeling to support those less fortunate through our shopping!

It's been a banner two weeks! WOW...thank you for all your support (and your purchases). The sunglasses from Los Angeles have been flying out of here.

Many have been asking what's in....Here's what's selling for me:

Purses: Whites and Metallics, Stripes...Mouflon bags are really popular too because they are practical but also stylish. Big bags for the under 40's are still huge.

Jewellery: Of course -- the pearls. Also anything with circles or stars. Tribal jewellery, while popular in all the press, is slow to sell here. Go figure!!!

Can you believe it's been two years since I started this business? Once my laptop is functioning again, I plan on counting the purses sold -- I'm sure it's over 2000! OMG

Re the Open House, everytime I schedule, another party books, so I'm looking at the beginning of JUNE. I will contact my VIPP's by email with the dates. Watch your email.

There's a new shipment of gorgeus bags from Los Angeles coming in within two weeks. If you haven't bought yet for the spring, WAIT until they come in. I won't be putting these on the site, so contact me and I'll send you the pics.

Okay, okay.....My "alumni" hostesses have been asking me for the next Open House at my place. I'm just so busy and May is also swamped, but it sure would be nice to stay at home and maybe have a sip of something (not alcohol of course!) while visiting with my friends.

SO...I'm looking at sometime at the end of May. Watch this website for news.
